Team work
The team work and cooperation between teachers, plays a big
role in making teaching better, it ensures the success of students whereas when
teachers work together, then they can show their point of view, experiences,
can make the teaching style better and can make a supportive learning
environment.
The cultures of collaboration:
The formation of an environment with team work and
collaboration can be done through negotiation, effective communication and an
environment which is free from pressure. An environment where teachers could
not talk to another teacher freely and by respecting others opinion, we can get
positive results from criticism. The formation of such culture can be done
through following things.
1.
Informal intercourse and encouraging the communication, like the tea
breaks or gatherings plays a big role between teachers, it promotes friendship.
Also, Friendships cannot take place in too much formal or office environment.
2.
Such meetings or online discussions should be arranged in which teachers
could share their experiences etc. with each other, they could share their
opinions or could share their successful experiments.
Collaborative planning:
Collaborative planning lets teachers to gather their
skills and it makes the learning more interesting and full of experiments for
students. Some of things we can do to maintain collaborations:
1.
Form a team of teachers, who could work combined on a single installed
teaching staff. For example make a team of teachers of a single subject who
will provide accessories for different projects. Form a committee for sports
day or other exercises and provide the sharing platforms according to their
interests.
2.
Give motivation to teachers for cooperation with each other in
classroom. Invite a teacher who has free period in your class or train them for
team teaching or micro teaching so that teachers could understand that they
need each other.
Mutual
observation and sharing of opinions.
Also train teachers to do peer observation and must
give feedback to another teacher to control their flaws. Feedback the partner so that they could focus on their flaws and could improve more.
Follow the following regarding this:
1.
Do systematic observation of each other’s class, train teachers to
observe each other’s class and to learn from each other.
2.
Motivate the teachers that they must take the feedback on their teaching.
Distribute feedback constructively and identify areas for improvement.
Sharing resources and expertise
The sharing of resources and supporting between
teachers will make the teaching better. And just like this the sharing of
expertise will also make the teaching better and will ensure the success of
students. Follow the following strategies regarding this:
1.
Make a platform for sharing of resources like shared drive or online
repository, where teachers could plan the next lesson and could download
teaching material.
2.
Identify the different expertise of different teachers and motivate
them to share those with their partners.
By promoting
the culture of teamwork, teachers can make their teaching style better, can
expand their knowledge, and can motivate each other. And finally can give high
quality education to their students. Let’s nurture this type of environment
together where teachers could develop and could put a deep effect on the lives
of young learners.
